About

Hey, my name is Miriam, and I’m a maker.

In my time as a knitwear designer, teacher and author I’ve met a lot of fiber people who are doing amazing things! As a designer, I can use their yarns, but that doesn’t convey to you the excitement each of those skeins of yarn carries for me. So I’m embarking on a new audio adventure. The YarnStories Podcast.

This podcast aims to tell the story behind the yarn we love before it comes into our hands. How many miles has it traveled? How many hands have touched it? What went into it’s creation?

You can expect interviews and chat about fiber breeds, yarn construction, and dye processes as well as knitting, crochet, and all other fibery pursuits.

I hope you’ll join me.

You can find us on Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest

  1. Hi Miriam
How do I sign up for your newsletter please. I have subscribed to your podcast and heard you talk about the free hat pattern from the book Slow Knitting.
    Thanks

    1. All the episodes before 107 are still all available for free, you just need to use the “Older Posts” link at the bottom of the page before the footer. Or they are all in the feed. If you are already subscribed to the feed and you aren’t seeing them, check the view options for your listings. It could be it’s just showing you the most recent 10 or something.
